Okay, I'm not sure if working on it Wednesday is a thing, but I haven't posted ANYTHING  in about a million years.   I have just been completely EXHAUSTED!   Teaching kindergarten is a LOT of work, especially when you have to take care of your only family and your puppy! Sorry, had to put that in here.   I don't know how teachers with actual real life babies even survive with a shred of sanity.   I didn't start teaching until my daughter was in second grade.   Kuddos to the superwomen out there!   Oh, one more unrelated thing- This came in the mail today!!!!!!  It's from  Fray Baby Bibs and More  and I absolutely adore it! W orkin' on it!  Back story- I have a lot of kids who do not know much about letters and sounds.  I have tons of intervention resources but I was feeling like I needed something more.  I want them to have a  book in their hands during literacy/reading groups.  I wan...

I really am NO photographer, and I'm really not all that good at decorating.   But I do think that I am pretty good at created workable spaces in the classroom.   I LOVE looking at pictures of other classrooms, so here's mine.   It won't be nearly as perfect or pretty as some of the other classrooms I've seen.   But so far, I think it's pretty good! :) The Crabitat is right by the front door.  There is a little extra room in front of the tank so it can double as a science center.   Next to it I have our How We Get Home chart.   I still need to write the kids names on clothespins.   But I figure I have time since I still don't know how they'll be going home. :) A close up of the Crabitiat.   The kids LOVE these little things! Wow!  Today is the last day of the Big Time Blogging Challenge that I've done my best to keep up with this month.  I have blogged almost every day!  It's been an exciting and busy month for me so it's been quite a challenge! I'm linking up with Big Time Literacy for Day 27 of her Big Time Blogging Challenge.   Today's topic is to write about what you are most excited about in the upcoming school year.   For me I always get excited about changing things around in my classroom, new decorations, scented markers, new ideas that I want to try, and my goal of doing it better than I did the year before. This year I have a little something special to look forward to. My nephew is going to be in my class. He is so excited.   His mom said he was walking through the door singing "I'm going to school" Then he sat to watch TV and wouldn't take off his backpack or put down his lunchbox!   My sister's family just moved back to town this past spring so I really don't know him that well...yet!
